A Reel Blog Post With Barbara Rossi...

I teamed up with my gorgeous friend Barbara Rossi for a catch-up and maintenance haircut.

Following on from our constitution, we've opted for long layers and face-framing layers that are slightly on the longer side, to add volume and movement.

Barbara already had some bangs from when I previously cut her hair. I trimmed and slightly reshaped Barbara’s bangs to make them more versatile, so Barbara can wear them in the centre and on the side.

Bangs require little effort and make a big impact. As well as drawing attention to the eyes, they help shape the face.

While a layered hairstyle is a stylish way to emphasise certain facial features, it also makes styling easier than ever. Air-dried textures will look

more polished, curly hair will stay defined and separated, and fine, thin hair will be blessed with volume.

The most enjoyable part? Growing out is a low-maintenance process.

Everybody’s hair grows out differently, but if your hair is really dry on the ends, you want to schedule at least every two months to get a trim.

I love a ’90s blowout because it channels style icons like Cindy Crawford and Jennifer Anniston.

It’s timeless, seemingly effortless and sexy. The key to this look is creating lift, both at the root and at the ends.

It’s not too sleek (that was the ’00s) and not exactly “woke-up like this” or messy (that was the ’10s).

Barbara has her hair coloured using the Ombre method. Ombres begin with dark roots and transition to lighter mid-lengths and ends. The colour complements her brand-new haircut so beautifully, the result is a stunner.
